Buk, the Old man, as we know him in Italy, represents for me a true passion. It's for this reason that I dedicated him two books. In 1997 I published a collection of Charles Bukowski aphorisms titled Seppellitemi vicino all'ippodromo così che possa sentire l'ebbrezza della volata finale (Buries to me to the race course close therefore that it can feel the drunkenness of the final flown one).
In January 2005, I published Bukowski Scrivo racconti poi ci metto il sesso per vendere (Bukowski - I write stories where I put sex in order to sell) a little book where I collects curiosities (and a short biography) of the American writer.
In this book I try to describe the true face of the writer.

I wrote a confidential portrait of the writer: his biography, his life, some pictures and curiosities from of an exceptional interlocutor: the journalist Fernanda Pivano, old friend of the writer's and author of Charles Bukowski: Laughing with the Gods - Sun Dog press.
My book is addressed to passionate readers and represents a travel into Bukowski's world: poetry, alcohol, religion, cinema and theatre, music, horse races and more from the writer who, smiling, said All writers are poor idiots. That's why they write.
